We had an excellent experience working with Lucas and Summit Home Services. We contacted him at a difficult stage of our staircase renovation, which needed to match our upcoming basement flooring sample, and he met with us the same day. He immediately understood what we wanted and came up with a clear, professional plan for refinishing the white-oak staircase to match the sample as closely as possible. His proposal was detailed and reasonably priced, with a clear scope of work and professional hardwood-finishing process. Before starting, Lucas and his team prepared three different finish samples for us. All three looked so good that it was actually difficult to choose one! Communication with Lucas was easy and efficient throughout the project. He listened carefully, understood our priorities, and focused on delivering the best result rather than simply finishing the job quickly. We also appreciated his use of high-performance finishing products. What stood out most was his attention to detail and high standard for his own work. He did not rush the final stage and even came back to address small details that we had already considered acceptable. Lucas is responsive, patient, customer-focused, and very detail-oriented. The final staircase looks beautiful, and we would be happy to work with him and Summit Home Services again. 5/5 stars!

Straight lay
A clean square grid. Works on floors, shower walls and almost any room.
Offset / brick
Staggered joints, like brick. A natural fit for subway tile on walls and backsplashes.
Stacked
Tall rectangular tiles set in straight columns. A modern look for shower walls.
Herringbone
Adds movement to a backsplash or a shower floor.
Chevron
Zigzag lines that make a feature wall or backsplash stand out.
Diagonal
Square tile turned 45 degrees. Works on floors and entries.
Hexagon
A classic for bathroom floors and shower floors.
Mosaic
Small tiles on a sheet, often used for shower floors and accents.
Straight, offset and brick patterns are in our price. Herringbone, chevron and borders take longer, so they are priced on your quote.

Typical timeline
A backsplash or small floor can wrap in 1 to 2 days. A tub-to-shower conversion usually runs 7 to 10 days, because it usually includes floor work outside the shower and several trades.
Waterproofing done right
Every wet-area installation gets a proper waterproofing membrane before tile goes up. It's the step that determines whether a shower lasts 5 years or 25.
Permit coordination
When plumbing, electrical or structural changes require permits, we build that into the schedule and coordinate our trusted subs.
