We're a surfaces crew based in Long Branch, NJ — hardwood floor refinishing, tile, backsplash and tub-to-shower conversion. We work about an hour and a half to two hours out from Long Branch, which covers New Jersey, New York City and southeastern Pennsylvania. Not a franchise, not a call center — just a team that does the work and stands behind it.
Who We Are
Summit Home Services LLC is a licensed surfaces contractor specializing in hardwood floor refinishing, LVP installation, tile, backsplash, and tub-to-shower conversion. All of it runs out of one crew working a 1.5 to 2 hour radius from Long Branch, NJ — across New Jersey; Bucks, Montgomery and Chester County in Pennsylvania; and New York City. Coverage differs slightly by service, so the quick facts below list each one separately.
The company is led by Lucas Barbosa, who has been in the flooring and interior finishing trade for over 10 years. Summit operates as a hands-on crew — Lucas and partner Iago are involved in estimating and quality control on every job, and the same field team that shows up on Day 1 finishes the project.
How We Work
Every project starts with a free walkthrough. We assess the floor condition, species, and existing finish, then give you a written flat-rate scope before we touch a single board. No change orders after we start unless you specifically ask for added work.
We use a commercial dustless sanding system on all refinishing jobs. It won't be zero dust — that's not physically possible — but it captures 90%+ at the source and keeps your home dramatically cleaner than traditional sanding.
We're available seven days a week and respond to all inquiries the same day. Most walkthrough appointments are scheduled within a few days.

What We Refinish
Our primary specialty is hardwood floor refinishing — sanding, staining, and applying new polyurethane finish to restore worn or dated hardwood floors. We work with solid hardwood and engineered hardwood (where the wear layer allows), and all common wood species: red oak, white oak, maple, hickory, and others.
We also install LVP (luxury vinyl plank), tile, and handle tub-to-shower conversions for homeowners who want one contractor for their floors, walls, and wet areas — not a general contractor for the rest of the house.
